Its no secret that I am passionate about educating and inspiring people to understand and embrace ADHD. For the last two years, I have been able to do this through my ADHD Coaching and Advocacy business, The ADHD Advocate.
I have loved coaching people with ADHD on a 1:1 basis. I have been absolutely thrilled to see my ADHDers tell a new story about themselves and their ADHD and actually give themselves permission to proceed with their dreams.
Whilst I have no intention to stop my 1:1 coaching, my mission has always been to educate and inspire as many people as I can to understand and embrace ADHD to fulfill their unique potential and live life in integrity with who they really are. It became clear to me that I needed to find a way to extend my reach and I’m happy to say that I think I may have found it...
I am excited to share with you a project I’ve been working on for the past year with the most resilient ADHD advocate I know, the founder of ADHD Action, Michelle Beckett. I actually used to coach Michelle. Whilst weekly coaching really helped Michelle formulate some great strategies, set achievable goals and increase her confidence and trust in her knowings it became clear that the daily accountability and community piece was missing. We realised that many ADHDers needed this regularity and scaffolding to keep their momentum and spirits up.
Whilst there were some programmes in the United States that sought to bridge this gap there was nothing for ADHDers here in the UK! It was the pandemic that gave us the kick we needed to “start now and get perfect later”. We hadn't fully formed our offering but we couldn’t let ADHDers go without support during this time of uncertainty and isolation. This is how the ADHD Unlocked Community Facebook Group and our daily Facebook Lunchtime Lockdown Lives were born.
As of today we have delivered 50 Facebook Lives over the last three months, helping ADHDers tackles common challenges such as friendships, sleep, boundaries, imposter syndrome, rumination, rejection sensitive dysphoria and many others... Even swearing ;) Here is a snapshot of one of our lives below. You can watch the recordings of some of our Lives by joining our free ADHD Unlocked Community Group.
Now that lockdown is easing we are winding the Lunchtime Lockdowns down and are now in a position to launch the offering we originally intended to deliver before the pandemic which is even better thanks to the contributions our viewers have made over the last couple of months. This is what ADHD Unlocked is all about..
This offer of ours is the ADHD Unlocked Membership Programme – the first ADHD support and accountability group of its kind in the UK. In English speak I have to say I’m “chuffed” and couldn't be prouder of the community. It's been hard work, but we've done it!
If you would like to see what I'm talking about visit our website https://adhdunlocked.co.uk (courtesy of my husband Gavin's, hard graft over the past weekend!) Feel free to share with the ADHDers you know and encourage them to sign up to take advantage of our fantastic offer: 50% off yearly and 20% off monthly memberships until the 14th July.
ADHDers need connection and community. They need to understand their ADHD brain and equip themselves with the structure and strategies that they need to thrive. This programme delivers this and more.
We’re excited! Come and join the ADHD Unlocked community. We are waiting for you...
