With my eldest daughter, Eva, and I it wasn't always plain sailing. In the beginning, before she was diagnosed it was testing to say the least, just getting her to focus was hard. We didn't know what was going on with her. Back then we had no idea about ADHD and we certainly did not suspect that the whole family was somewhere on the ADHD spectrum! What a long way we have come together as a family since she was diagnosed over 7 years ago now. I feel so grateful to have stepped on to this path to greater understanding, to knowing what feels right, feeling confident in our parenting style and learning what patience and knowledge of ADHD can do to improve our dynamic. Eva has been a great inspiration in this process. She has taught me so much. I want to share with you our video where we are discussing the journey. Grab yourself a well deserved hot drink and have a watch. I guarantee you'll feel nourished (and that's not because I'm her mum - my assistant pushed me to share this with you all).
Shine Bright, Lyrics by Eva Camilleri
I know sometimes it's hard
To pass the forest of scars
Know that I’ve got your back
Don't feel like you're being chased case you're not
Believe me I know what you're going through
I see you, I see you
I won't give up
On you I won't give up
On me too
We will be strong together
We'll find our way
I won't give up
On us
It's ok to be different from the rest
Be brave no matter what the test
Believe me I know what you're going through
I see you, I see you
I won't give up
On you I won't give up
On me too
We will be strong together
We'll find our way
I won't give up
On us Oo oo, Ah ah …
We can do anything
We put our minds to
I won't give up
On us

Many people are now exploring whether they might be neurodivergent, especially if they've faced lifelong challenges with things like social communication, executive functioning, or sensory overload. An online tool to evaluate signs of autism, ADHD, anxiety and other neurodivergent traits can be a helpful, private way to start this process. These tests compile questions related to common characteristics of various neurotypes. The results can offer a preliminary indication of whether your profile aligns with neurodivergence and if seeking formal assessments for specific conditions might be beneficial. It's about gaining clarity on your unique neurological makeup.
If you're on a journey of self-discovery and suspect you might be neurodivergent, finding accessible resources is key. A simple tool to explore neurodiversity online can be a good first step. These tests generally ask about a range of experiences related to how you think, process information, interact with others, and manage daily tasks. The aim is to help you identify potential neurodivergent traits by reflecting on these questions. It's important to remember that this is a self-screening tool, not a diagnostic one. However, it can empower you with more self-knowledge and help you decide if you wish to pursue formal evaluations for conditions like ASD or ADHD with qualified professionals.
Taking an ADHD test online can be the first step to getting the clarity you need to seek a formal diagnosis and finally get the right support and strategies.
For adults who have always struggled with focus, procrastination, and organization, taking a simple ADHD quiz can be an eye-opening "aha!" moment. It's a great, low-pressure first step.
Understanding neurodiversity is about recognizing that neurological differences are a natural part of human variation. If you're wondering whether your own way of thinking, learning, or interacting might be considered neurodivergent, a free Neurodivergent Test can offer some initial insights. These online tools often touch upon aspects of autism, ADHD, anxiety, and other conditions that fall under the neurodiversity spectrum. While not a substitute for professional evaluation, such a test can help you identify areas where your experiences differ from the neurotypical norm and provide a basis for further self-exploration or discussion with a healthcare provider. It’s a step towards self-acceptance and understanding.
